Pasta is one of the easiest foods to make and everyone loves it. You can change the sauce and toppings, the possibilities are endless. Cajun shrimp pasta is also great for a family dinner or a sumptuous meal served to guests.
The prawns are coated in Cajun spices and topped off with a creamy white sauce with rich cream and Parmesan cheese that melts in your mouth.
Ingredient
- 1 pound large prawns, peeled and skin removed
- salt
- 1 pound linguine
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons of cajun seasoning
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- cream cup
- cup Parmesan cheese and extra for serving
- dry white wine cup
- cup chopped fresh parsley

Instructions
- Cook the linguine according to package directions, reserving 1 cup of the cooking water. Drain the noodles and return them to the pot. Add a little olive oil so it doesn't stick.
- Season the prawns with salt, pepper, and Cajun seasoning
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet and when hot, cook prawns until pink, about 2 minutes. Remove from the pan and place on a plate.
- Melt butter in the same pan, add flour, and mix. Cook until light golden brown.
- Mix white wine and whipped cream. Heat for about 1 minute, stirring to avoid lumps.
- Add the reserved pasta water and Parmesan cheese and stir. Season with salt and pepper
- At this point mix in linguine
- Return the boiled prawns to the pot and add the chopped parsley. Mix everything and check the seasoning for salt.
